My super simple skincare routine

I'm all about keeping things simple when it comes to my skincare routine. For one, I never have the time for multiple cleanses, deep exfoliation and more products than I can count on two hands. No, no, no, that's not me. Plus, I can only speak for myself, but I feel my skin reacts well to not only more natural products, but a minimal amount of products each day.

If you're the same or feel you need a stripped back skincare routine, you may want to try what I am currently using. Bare in mind I have combination skin, with an oily T-zone by the end of the day, a teeny- weeny bit of dryness very occasionally, but otherwise normal skin.

First and foremost, I have been trying Origins' new cleanser in their Original Skin range. By the way, this is not a sponsored post, but as you may have seen before on this blog, I love this brand, and I like to be consistent with what I use as I feel it makes a huge difference to my skin.

The cleanser is an oily gel, so I was slightly apprehensive about trying it -  *oily t-zone alert*. But, it's absolute magic, once you massage it onto the face to break down makeup and dirt, and then add water it turns into a milk, making it not too greasy, and perfect at keeping the skin moisturised and smooth. However, some nights I prefer to use a cleanser that feels more deep cleansing and not so gentle.

Next, I use the Mega Mushroom Treatment Lotion just because there has been such a buzz around this product, for what feels like eternity now. Poor onto cotton pads and swipe over the face, or add to a sheet mask (in the little green pod in the picture) to calm and soothe the skin. It is specifically for sensitive skin, but I like to use it because I don't prefer to put alcohol on my skin and I love how refreshing it feels.

Next I apply the Ginzing face gel - more than the required  pea-sized amount because I don't find it moisturising enough but love the smell and feel on my skin. Ideally, I will use the creamy version in future, especially during winter, but let's keep it real, I still have a pot to finish and I do love it - it's just that it absorbs really quickly. To make up for this, I mix it with a generic, more moisturising cream.
